Privacy Policy for PPL Extensions

This Privacy Policy describes how Pawel Pliousnin Digital Solutions ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in relation to PPL Magento / Adobe Commerce and TYPO3 extensions. This page explains the normal PPL extension model and the specific role of PPL Tracking & Privacy.

Operator control: PPL extensions run inside the merchant's Magento / Adobe Commerce or TYPO3 environment. The merchant or site operator controls installation, configuration, hosting, consent settings and retention settings.

General statement

Most PPL extensions process configuration, operational report data, search data, admin workflow data or development data inside the host application. They do not independently send personal data to PPL Digital Solutions.

Magento, Adobe Commerce, TYPO3, hosting providers, payment providers, analytics providers or other third-party services configured by the merchant may process personal data as part of normal store operation. Those systems are controlled by the merchant or site operator and are outside the direct control of PPL extensions.

PPL Tracking & Privacy

PPL Tracking & Privacy is different from purely operational modules because it is designed to collect and manage first-party behavioral signals when the merchant installs, enables and configures it. Its purpose is to keep such signals inside the Magento installation instead of sending them to PPL or to an external analytics service by default.

Depending on configuration and consent state, the extension can process signals such as searches, result impressions, clicks, purchases and returns. It can aggregate these into behavior, query and query/product statistics for operational use. Optional consumers, such as PPL Search Intelligence, may use aggregated signals when installed and allowed by policy.

PPL Tracking & Privacy includes consent-gated collection, Do-Not-Track support, fixed-window rate limiting, event de-duplication, scheduled aggregation, raw-event retention and daily purge behavior where configured. It also includes consent audit handling, configurable PII redaction and data-subject export or erasure tooling.

The extension does not send behavioral data to PPL Digital Solutions. Behavioral data remains inside the merchant's Magento environment unless the merchant separately configures another integration or export path.

Information processed

  • Configuration and admin settings needed for installed extensions to work.
  • Operational data already present in Magento / Adobe Commerce, such as orders, products, customers, reports, search terms or catalog data, where needed for the relevant extension.
  • TYPO3 backend permission and rights data where PPL Rights Management is installed.
  • For PPL Tracking & Privacy only: consent-gated behavioral events and derived aggregate statistics according to the merchant's configuration.

How information is used

Data processed by PPL extensions is used only to provide the installed extension functionality. Examples include search ranking, filter counts, reports, action cards, dashboard widgets, development data generation, checkout notes, privacy tooling or TYPO3 rights management.

We do not sell personal data, share data for marketing purposes, or use merchant store data for advertising profiling.

Data storage

PPL extensions store required configuration and operational data inside the host Magento / Adobe Commerce or TYPO3 environment. They do not create a PPL-operated external database for merchant data.

PPL Tracking & Privacy stores configured raw events, consent audit data, aggregate statistics and retention state inside the Magento environment. Retention and purge behavior are controlled by the merchant's configuration and cron operation.

Data-subject requests

For PPL Tracking & Privacy, the extension includes data-subject export and erasure tooling so the merchant can respond to relevant requests for data handled by the extension. The merchant remains responsible for evaluating legal obligations and for handling data held by Magento, TYPO3 or other third-party systems.

Hosting and server logs

The hosting environment, web server, Magento / Adobe Commerce system or TYPO3 system may automatically log technical data such as IP addresses, request logs and system events. This is standard server behavior and is controlled by the merchant or hosting provider.

Third-party services

If the merchant integrates third-party services, those services may process data according to their own privacy policies and contracts. PPL extensions do not control third-party data handling.

Security

PPL extensions are designed to use the host application's permissions, ACL and configuration patterns where applicable. Overall system security depends on the Magento / Adobe Commerce or TYPO3 installation, hosting, access controls, patch status and merchant configuration.
